Sheepskin Love

 Guess what I got in the mail the other day..... my sheepskin rug !!

As fall has started to set in.... I am in the process of making my living room a little more cozier and warm. 

 I have added some more candles and cushions and of course my sheepskin rug...to make it  cozy and perfect for sipping my favorite white chocolate mocha on a chill fall day while I can get my hands on my research articles or better... my latest copy of bazaar. 

I have added two floor cushions to the reading nook and on the side my sheepskin rug... the corner is perfect to spend hours reading... take a tour

Hint of Fall

 It has started to get a little chilly here.... the breeze is crisp....the leaves are turning into that beautiful shade of yellow and red....

With Fall just the around the corner, I am in the process of making little changes in arrangements around the house.... did two little projects today...

The Second one was on my wall of souvenirs. The little things I collected from the travels around the globe. I have put them all up on one wall...cosy...close together..

And here is the little Ikat dish that was added to this space. The colors are perfect for the feel of Fall. 

 Both these spaces aren't really complete as I am still in the process of adding stuff.....  but very soon.. till then stay tuned.

DIY- Abstract painting

 Although I have been experimenting with different art mediums for over a decade or so..I have never used acrylic paints before * very lame*. I guess I was always the "use oils of canvas" kind of a person.   But recently  I noticed that acrylics were used more often and  of course why not.... it doesn't take a million years like oils to dry up....so you can paint.. frame and get your painting on the wall.... in a span of a week...

So I took a trip to Michaels and bought myself some acrylic paints. I wanted to start with experimenting with using layers of paint in an abstract art form and see for myself , how well the colors mix up compared to oils....

Below is my experiment.... and I am pretty pleased with it too..Take a look..... TAAADAAA..

Still have to find an apt place for it... but for now I think it looks perfect here !!!
