Love for Chevron- DIY canvas

Chevron prints are so in vogue these days....wall papers...pillows...skirts...wall art...Just about everywhere.  I finally squeezed out the time to DIY  chevron on canvas.

Tell me what you think of this....

I started out with painting my entire white canvas in shades of sapphire blue, green and yellow leaving a few white spaces in between so that the chevron strips would stand out .

Next, I began with my chevron pattern.... It was such a pain I tell you, to get all that alignment right ! Approximation at its best..:P

Once all the tape was in order,  I got all my supplies together and headed outdoors to spray paint my canvas with Krylon GOLD!!

I waited for about 5-6 mints in between each coat of gold ..with a total of 3 coats.  Once it got all dried up gently removed the tape...revealing beautiful GOLD strips..

and here's the final look of my canvas... I think I am going to make this wall as my very own little gallery... a cozy little corner....

What you do think of my gallery... and my chevron-DIY canvas... !!!
